Clarion Gaming launches iGB Live!

Clarion Gaming has announced the launch of iGB Live! a new consolidated event combining the best features of the iGaming Super Show, EiG, and the Amsterdam Affiliate Conference.

The new show aims to address industry concerns over event congestion and streamline the events calendar to provide stakeholders with a unique chance to engage with the whole market at a single event.

Clarion event director Shona ODonnell was responsible for bringing the iGaming Super Show to market eight years ago and has overseen the development of the new show.

“Our pledge is to deliver global events, knowledge and training strategy to what is a global industry. This involves exploring how we can deploy the power and influence of our brands to best effect on behalf of our customers,” she said.

ODonnell said conversations across the market had revealed the industry is looking for fewer, higher quality events that deliver a greater return on investment.

“The iGaming Super Show, EiG and the Amsterdam Affiliate Conference will retain their individual personalities, identity and the vision that have made them three of the best known and respected brands in gaming,” she added.

The new show will be the biggest dedicated igaming exhibition and conference in the industry and has been developed to meet stakeholder needs from a networking, education and business perspective.

Early feedback from the market has welcomed the move, with affiliates, operators, suppliers and regulators backing the new unified show and the July time slot.

SBTech vice president of business development Tom Light said: “EiG and the iGaming Super Show have been high quality events for many years and bringing them together under one roof will enable delegates and sponsors to meet even more key players in the affiliate and B2B space.

“SBTech is delighted to support and sponsor the event and make it even more of a must-attend for everyone in the igaming sector.”

Microgaming head of events Penny Campbell also supported the move, describing it as “a bold step” that would be welcomed by the industry.

“We have been loyal supporters of both events for many years and we welcome this decision. The iGaming Super Show has grown in importance year-on-year and become a key meeting place for the industry. Its July time slot works well – long enough after ICE, and just before the summer break,” she said.

ODonnell thanked supporters of the events to date and said she looked forward to discussing further details at next week’s EiG conference in Berlin.

“I am extremely passionate about the future of the brand and excited about overseeing its development,” she added.

The first iGB Live! will take place between 17 and 20 July, 2018 at The Amsterdam, RAI Convention Centre.
